What was the last thing you did to create a better experience for your customers that wasn’t caused by one of these three things?  

1. Your competition.

2. A belief it would increase revenue.

3. A response to a customer’s complaint.

Sometimes, making it better for the sake of making it better is the right answer all by itself.
